Stuff kids on tumblr better relearn

1. You are responsible for your own media experience.

2. There is such a thing as a healthy level of avoidance towards topics that make you feel unwell or even (in a real-life clinical definition of the term) trigger you - but you are the one to actively take care of what you view.

3. Avoiding does not mean policing others.

4. You have no right to tell artists to censor themselves - you may criticize what others do, you may dislike it, that’s fine - but actively asking for censorship when you could easily unfollow or block a person just makes you look incompetent in your use of the internet.

5. Do not give people on tumblr or /any/ website the responsibility for your emotional well-being. Because these people do not even know you so no, you have no right to ask them to take care of you.

6. Content creators are not your parents and owe you nothing, not even a breakdown on why their content isn’t problematic. You don’t get to demand a dissertation denouncing any and everything unhealthy in a piece you don’t like. Move on.

7. Tagging is a nicety but not an obligation. You can message people, politely, and ask them to tag things, and many people will, but understand that it’s their blog and they aren’t obliged to say yes. Unfollow and block when you need to. Circling back to number 1, you are responsible for curating your own experience.

8. Don’t be a jerk. Remember at the end of the day, there are actual living, breathing people behind each screen name. Don’t say anything you wouldn’t say to someone’s face in real life.

I cannot stress enough how important it is to remember this.

Besides the waltz scene, this is the biggest hint for me at least that Noé is falling for Vanitas.

Because let’s be absolutely clear, he did not have to be here. Noé had no purpose in this scene and mochijun doesn’t seem like a writer who positions their characters without reason.

To me, love isn’t something that occurs instantly. It takes time, trust, understanding, and vulnerability. That’s exactly Noé and Vanitas’ journey in their relationship. And they have already come to care about each other greatly but the subject of love comes into play.

I believe wholeheartedly that it will be revealed eventually that Noé has come to love Vanitas. Now whether it’ll be as romantic, platonic, or simply unlabelled pure “love” is up for debate. Regardless, Noé is aware that something is stirring within him but he doesn’t understand.

If it is romantic we might likely go the unrequited route. Seeing that Vanitas may love Noé but not romantically. No matter what however, any love Noé will have for him simply leads to an inevitable broken heart.

MY ADVENTURES WITH SUPERMAN IS SO GOOD

image

Okay, so not only do the character designs absolutely pop off, but the show seems to genuinely understand Superman. In movies he's always either portrayed as a Jesus figure or a cold, unfeeling alien who only cares about Lois Lane. But in this show he's just a guy who wants to help people, and that's how he got his powers in the first place. Not to mention the fact that the animators were instructed to make him cute/hot, which worked perfectly. He's a big, beefy himbo, and he cares about everyone, not just Lois Lane. And speaking of Lois Lane, she finally has a character! She's very much a manic pixie dream girl, but not in the male gaze sort of way. She's clearly her own character, being an energetic news reporter who cares more about getting the story than keeping her job. Jimmy Olsen is similarly energetic, being a sort of conspiracy theorist (though I think all his conspiracies might be true in this universe), and their combined energy bounces off of Clark's awkwardness really well. I can't wait to see more of this show, and I just hope that the show does well so more comic-accurate iterations of Superman become mainstream. Anyways, thanks (or sorry) if you read all this, now here's some fanart by @38___sr on Twitter of Clark being an Anime Girl.

like there comes a point where you think something is fundamentally wrong with you. and then it turns out it’s just Friday and you haven’t washed your hair in three days and maybe you’re also just a little lonely and the combination of all three of those things is whittling a hole into your chest every time you breathe. but also the sun’s up. and you’ve survived everything so far, so you’ll survive this too, even if it hurts, even if you have to survive it many times.

I want the writer’s strike to last until they get everything they demand and more. I want the SAG strike to last until AI is entirely forbidden across the board in the entire industry. I want CGI artists to unionize and strike. I want animators to strike. I want composers and directors and designers and VAs and techies and producers and stage hands and game devs and programmers and recording artists to strike.

I want every aspect of the entertainment industry brought to a grinding halt for months or even years to take it from the corps and put it back in the hands of the artists.

HELL yeah I hope the striking creatives get absolutely everything they ask for it's time to communize the entertainment industry!!! creatives should be in charge of their own works seize the means of production you funky little artists! (I'm being serious here; the entertainment industry should be run by the people who actually create the things not some exec) entertainment industry general strike anyone? I think it's time queue
